Hey there, just picked up a KZJ78 and I'm trying to get the oil level correct, however, if I wait for 10-15 minutes after running the engine to check the oil level, it is only halfway up the dipstick. Yet after waiting for an hour and a half the oil level is almost at the top of the dipstick. I've just never had to wait that long to get an "accurate" reading on any cruiser I own, usually like 5 minutes after running it I can check it and it'll be accurate. I'd just like to know which oil level to trust, the one after the oil is circulated and sat for 15 minutes or the oil level that sits for an hour or 2. Thank you!

Halfway is ok and so is full. It doesnt matter as long as it stays on the dipstick. Oil expands and gets bubbles in it. It doesnt hurt if its touch overfull.

Thank you! Just didn't want to blow up my engine or anything.

Most of the time its overheating that kills them, so keep the coolant system in tip top shape.
