This was removed from a 93 80 series and then barn stored by a local fella I know.

Water pump was seeping so I changed that with a genuine item, and while I was in there put a genuine timing belt and tensioner on.

Runs clean as a whistle with zero smoke.

130000 miles.

Compression figures are excellent at 520 psi across all cylinders.

Comes with aircon compressor and flex plate.

Asking 4000 usd plus $850 port shipping.

tiss the season to be jolly. so a price drop to $3750. (the kids are also wanting christmas presents and the mrs a new rolling pin...)

I’m really tempted on this engine. Probably going to hold out for a nice 1HD-FT though.

Also, that engine stand setup is awesome! Great work.

thanks will.

can i tempt you some more? :).

could do with this out of the way..

Which manual transmission would this take?

my 2f might have just died in my 60 and 1 HZ would make a fine swap but I’d need to figure out the trans

I'm planning the same swap. Have a 1HZ ready to go and an H55 that was mated to my 2F. Need to swap the transmission input shaft from the one for the 2F to a different one for the 1HZ. I think there are some other manual transmissions that will work with the 1HZ (R151 perhaps?) Wikipedia suggests the R151F was mated to the 1HZ in LC's from these years:
Land Cruiser:
1986-1990 2LTE J70-J73
1990-2002 1HZ J70-J79
1998-2002 1HZ J100/J105

I was just googling and found an ebay auction for a 151f intended for use in a 70 series with non turbo 1HZ.

So there must be an H55 bell housing? I ask because budget wise if I could keep my 4 speed then the swap would allow me to work in stages.
