1hz to 1991 toyota pickup 2wd swap (1 Viewer)

i was wonder if i could swap a 1hz into my pickup because the oil 22re in it went out .. would want to know if it would fit and if it does what woild i need t make it work as best as can be and all the parts needed to do it

I’m pretty sure it would require major surgery and a large lift to fit that big of an engine. The 1HZ is similar in size to a 3FE and weighs around 700 lbs. In my opinion you would be much better off with a 1KZ-T, a Mercedes OM617 or a VW TDI.

A 91 Toyota pickup would stand on its nose if you dropped a 1HZ into it.

Maybe a 1PZ would fit better. I have a 1PZ engine sitting in my garage and the thought has crossed my mind before.

Probably better to do this to a SAS pickup though if you are going to even attempt it.

I have measured.

1PZ which is 5cyl barely going to fit and may need electric fans.

1HZ/1HDT or any six cylinder variety are not going to fit.
