1HZ engine height - need measurement (1 Viewer)

Can someone please look at their fan and estimate how far it is from the top of the radiator? I'm guessing it is about even and it's hard to tell with the fan shroud on. Nothing exact (unless you can). Perhaps a picture of the fan shroud and measure clearance between it and the fan?

I screwed up and mounted the new engine too low. Heard a ding noise going over a speed bump, and sure enough there's now a ding in the oil pan. I'm thinking I need to raise it about 2" to make sure everything clears.

I dont have one to measure at the moment, but the fan does not sit concentric inside the shroud. The fan is more to the top. I found the best way was to take a measurement across the oil filler cap by using a string line from one fender to another. That way you can see what you are doing. You need to get measurements from one with new engine mounts as they sag a bit when they get old.
