1HDT oil in coolant (1 Viewer)

Hey guys! I have a 1993 Hdj80 with a 1HDT ive been noticing oil in my coolant its not that much but yesterday i did a 100km run and back home i noticed almost a gallon of coolant had been pushed out by the reservoir tank my mechanic says its the oil cooler but im wondering if anyone had the same issue.

Btw….
Radiator and cap are new
All hoses are new
OEM waterpump new
theres no coolant in my oil

My first thought was a head gasket but my mechanic told me it is the oil cooler but i want to be sure before spending $400 on the oil cooler

$400 for the cooler will be a lot cheaper than doing a head gasket.
Probably start there, pressure test the old cooler once it's out. If it isn't leaking then you're probably gonna have to do head gasket
