it is a PZ, turbo, intercooler on propane.
i would turbo the PZ, worse case you sell the PZ with the turbo or move the turbo onto a 1HZ (same trubo for both). it is a mapped turbo with a custom adapter to the stock exhaust manifold...

easy install and the PZ really comes to life...

thanks for your opinion on this.. I am really considering on buying a new 1HDT for my Cruiser, I m still doing some reasearch. If i do this, I will put my 1HZ which has a turbo on a BJ40...it only has 18,000km..

You would need only a few alterations like the the 1HZ vacuum metal hose that run behind the water pump.
On a 1HD T the metal tube is for coolant supply to the thermowax on the ACSD on the fuel pump.
IMO ,leave the ACSD disconnected.

I wouldnt have any problems about using the H15* or the H55f.
Plenty of both around here and I dont hear many bad reports about either gearbox.
The early H150 had some bearing or synchro issues in the early days but that hasnt been a problem since.
The HDJ78/89 used the H151 behind the 1HD FTE from 98-07 and now the gearbox is in use behind the 1VD FTE V8

Sounds great. A 71 series with a 1HD T will really fly. Make sure you start a build up thread on MUD;)

How much can you get a 1HD T for? They pop up in oz occasionally for about $7kAUD for a long engine,no pump or turbo
