1HDFT Oil Recommendation (1 Viewer)

Morning gang,

I searched the forum and couldn't find any conversations regarding best practices here, so I thought I'd pose the question:

What is the best oil for a 1HDFT engine?

• The 1HDFT repair manual recommends "API CD or better"
• The Aussies on YouTube all seem to use 15w-50
• Other ih8mud posts mention anywhere from 5w-30 to 10w-40 depending on the locale/weather

I live in Houston, TX if that is to influence anyone's opinion.
