Well I am working on the time
I also have into tens of thousands on engine transmission and assorted parts

Now the question seems to be I never see one out there anywhere

Have you done this or seen one

I heard the engine/misson is to long to fit

a tape measure would tell you if it is too long

I've seen a 454 big block in a 40
also seen pics of a Jaguar engine in a 40

I have heard it’s the longer transmission and transfer case making the drive line very short
Also required flipping the rear leaf springs to gain inches
I have put the tape to it it looks fine with rough measurements
But much different when you put it all in place

How much farther back are the shifters respectively from the bellhousing to engine flange when compared to the 2F/H42?

as discussed, the H151 is too long to fit into a 40. a 43/44/45/47 probably. the 1HZ takes up the full engine bay. even with the H55 you are going to end up with a very short rear driveshaft. i would suggest no more than a 2.5" lift or you are likely to have vibration at speed. i have done a few 1HZ turbo into a 40 over the decades and the results are well worth the coin. much better torque, fuel mileage, driveability resulting. plus the cool factor is at the top. enjoy the build.
