Yesterday change the oil and all filters to my 80 aka " La yeye " ( is a panamenian term ) and see a low oil press ( to me ) in the factory gauge ...

So I'm still planing put a mechanical gauge to see more acurate measurement about oil press ..

But I thought when the engine was cold the oil press at idle go to the sencond mark .. ? and when is hot stay in the first mark ( idle off course )

In my 80 always keep under the first mark at idle and at midle of the gauge at 2000 rpm ..

opinions .. ?

I never rely on the factory gauges any more, until I have hooked up a mechanical gauge and get the actual pressure, then use that as the datum to interpret the factory gauge from then on.

My oil pressure always sits at or about the first mark. The only other 1HD-T that I have been about also sits there, but slightly higher than mine. I've driven mine for about 3 years now and have had no problems so far.

I talk today with a frind that have all mechanical gauges .. and I plan to go tomorrow to take this measurement. So I hope at idle I get more than 20 PSI ..
