1HD FTE Misfiring

Hello Guys,

I have a 1hd fte with a misfire and rough idle that shakes the car slightly. We serviced the 6 injectors and replaced the tips and did calibration. Vehicle is still misfiring.
I have been told to advance the pump and see if it cures it. Can I get more details on how to advance the pump and what are the specs/ranges.
From ECU there are no trouble codes, but managed to read the following values at engine idle:
1. Injection Timing: 14.2CA
2. Injection Volume: 4.023mm3/st

Please check the batteries, alternator and wiring first if you have not already. The dual battery system tends to hide a dying battery and cause rough idle. I had similar issues (and many others) with my 100 series 2006 4.2 diesel 1 Hd-fte. When I got the alternator repaired and changed the old batteries with agm ones it is much smoother now.

I would also try the Diesel forum on IH8MUD or even one of the Australian forums where there are more owners of these. Someone is having the same problem as you with their 1HD T on the diesel forum.

Thanks will give it a try, especially due to the hard start it suffers in the morning. Cheers
