Hey,
I just wanted to replace the timing belt, front seals and so on and then noticed a play in the oil pump gear / bearing.
As this is not a serviceable part and therefore the whole oil pump / timing gear housing has to be replaced and because I won't be easily able to get this deep into the engine's front again:
- Is this play normal or should I replace the pump / gear housing?
- Anything else I should be replacing now rather than being sorry later?
Video of play:
PS: Units are metric (~ 0.15mm play)
Cheers,
Mark
