Hello All
Anyone know what my spark plugs are trying to tell me? I’ve had 2 different opinions from to knowledgeable sources. One says to hot and the other says cheap gas

Removed from 1FZFE after purchasing from original owner. I didn’t see any tune up service records on Toyota database. I seen oil change etc but the service records start around 200x truck currently has 348k

Gas that is a few weeks old these days is suspect. I buy Non Ethanol 91 Octane and drive it daily. I do not think mine is gas related.

I am curious if yours had the White crystalline snow flake deposits?

Yes mine had the cystaline for sure, they were very evenly coated between cylinder positions. Truck ran pretty good when I pulled the plugs. I should have took some high power magnification images, they have been sitting outside thru a few rain storms I might try and get some nice images on a high power scope just for fun.

I am still a little concerned of the possibility of running too lean, my 80 exhauts smells strange to me, its strong but smells different not like most older cars I have had

Bump for relevant thread & bored at work. I’m familiar with plug charts so I’m guessing slightly lean and/or hot.

2 years & 20k on them. Factory denso, correct gap, new OEM fuel filter, no codes, healthy idle, etc. Truck runs great, probably burns a little oil being at 230k, just throwing it out there for no real reason. All plugs are consistent. Not sure on cheap gas, probably all the same around here.

Burning clean, slightly lean, but that could be based on how it is driven.

Just quickly glanced through the responses and didn't see much mention of oil burning/consumption (sorry if I missed it) but that's my take on what's causing the fluffy white buildup on the early plug pictures.
