Thinking of selling one of my 80s. I have plans to paint it and re-cover front seats. I’ll obviously want more when it’s got silky smooth new leather and fresh glossiness. So if anyone is interested before all that happens. Here’s what I got.
1997 LX450
Locked
225k miles
No leaks
Pretty tight interior other than front seats.
Door panels and dash all look great
No major rust issues other than the pesky rear window seal, which will be fixed if it gets painted.
New shocks
New AC compressor
Clean headliner with no sags
Clean sun visors, that stay up
Sorry but the “D” light is out, the rest work
Factory everything
Factory Lexus CD changer and center console speaker
New pioneer door speakers
There are some minor body imperfections (small ding on rear pillar, decent ding on PS front bumper, all will be fixed if painted)
Runs and drives beautifully
Factory Key fob and Lexus alarm still chirps upon locking.
It’s not BringATrailer auction quality but pretty nice in my opinion and I’ve had a handful of these.

Has the head gasket been replaced?

Are you planning of repainting and re doing seats yourself? What kind of markup do you anticipate?Strange ad proposition,
I’ll have between 3000-4000 in seats and paint. I’m purchasing a seat kit and having local upholstery shop put em on. Kits cost to much to try and swing it myself. Paint will be done at a local body shop. So price will go up at least that much, and truck will still be cheaper than most out there that are in decent shape. Make an offer.

For those messaging asking about front seats. They’ll still hold an ass, but def need at least the bottoms recovered.

passenger seat could go without but I like stuff to match.
