1997 LX450 lifted, locked, built, with mostly new mechanicals

See my craigslist ad. I purchased this a while back for 12k locally, ended up having head gasket issue soon after. I had Toy Specialists do the work, from recommendations here. Had a lot of work done - the entire engine was gone over, power steering, axles, brakes, rotors, etc.

All OEM parts used... and OME

I purchased for 12k, spent another 12-13k rebuilding everything. It's been rock solid since then, I just took it to sedona and tonto over the past 2 weeks. I don't expect to get the 25k back out of it, but I'd like to get 19k on craigslist , or $18k on Ih8mud.

a few months ago I read about another guy selling an FZJ80 that got a strange offer from overseas- but the whole thing worked out. Still sounds a bit strange.

Only if they want to send you a check for more than you're asking, and then have you deposit the "extra" money into their bank account

Ya it's a scam. They want you to pay them to sell it before they will sell it.... Usually 100 or so... But they don't sell it or even try.

Del, (? hope that's your name) thanks for the note. Don't worry, if you're interested, I'll work with you so it works out. Also, don't sweat it too much, don't worry, I remember what it was like to search for an FZJ80, and it seems it will take a long time to find a good one, but I think there a bunch of good ones for sale on IH8MUD... so you will find one if that's what you're looking for.

I've got a 4" lift on mine with 35" tires.. if you're not doing crazy stuff, you could also consider a 2" lift with 33" tires.. that's probably what I would get if I were starting over... although it is nice to be the baddest cat driving around sometimes.
