1997 Lexus LX450

  • Triple Locked
  • 37” Tire's and Rims are Brand New
  • 5.29 Gears
  • ARB Front, 4x4Labs Rear Bumper
  • 183,0XX Miles (still driving)
  • Black/Gray
  • Location: Boise, Idaho, 83704
  • 3 owners (CarFax download on post #3)
  • $16,000
  • Over $13K in service and parts in the last 12 Months
  • Not being flipped. I've owned for just under 9 years
  • CarFax posted below

I purchased this vehicle, early 2010, with 134K miles. It was 100% stock when purchased. It’s been my daily driver for almost 9 years now and our family road trip car until we picked up our F150 two years ago. It has never broken down or left me stranded. Other than fire and logging roads, it hasn’t been mudded/off-roaded, never been rock crawling. Sure makes a great mountain, hunting, fishing, road trip rig.

For the time I’ve owned it, it’s been a “Mall Cruiser”

The positives:
  • Factory Lockers - Working
  • CDL Dash Switch
  • YellowBox speedometer correction
  • Head Gasket Replaced @ 141K Miles
  • OME Lift Kit, Level Stance (@ 166K Miles)
  • 30MM Slee Spacers Front & Rear (late 2018, w/ new tires)
  • Slee 2" Front Bump stops (installed), have 2" rears (need installed)
  • DELTA rear panhard lift bracket
  • ARB Front bumper (winch version), December 2017
  • 100 series brake pads
  • 4x4Labs Rear Bumper Dual swing outs
  • Land Rover Discovery Cup Holder - oh yeah
  • Garage parked entire time I’ve owned it
  • Clean and Clear, Idaho Title, in hand
  • Third row seats
  • I run non ethanol gas and have been doing so for years
  • Overall great shape for a 21+ year old vehicle
  • 5 matching rims and tires (spare is same wheel & tire)
  • Fully detailed Summer 2018. Full-on scratch removing buff, wax, interior shampoo, etc.

The Negatives:

The usual suspects:
  • Slow drivers side window - (Brand new regulator, Window run, and belt trim, just need installed)
  • Usually have to hit the unlock button 2+ times to get back doors to unlock - (two new rear locks included, just need installed)
  • Dings, scratches, wear & tear for it's age
  • Drivers seat leather ripped/torn - Coverking Rhinohide Seat Covers
  • Pretty sure CD changer doesn’t work. Stero is 100% original/stock
  • Needs a quart+ of oil between oil changes (takes me about 6-9+ months to put 3k miles on it)
  • I just banged the front drivers seat, power tilt switch, and broke it off. Still goes back/forth & up/down.
  • A couple burnt out interior lights
  • Misc. random things I probably don’t even notice.

It's far from perfect (see all the pics on DropBox). That said, it's nicer than most I've seen out there and hasn't lived a very hard life. It's dependable, low miles, and triple locked. You could pick this up and drive it across the country tomorrow. The most expensive mods are already done. All that's left is customizing to suit your needs.

Work I’ve had done:

LTS Motors (LTS), Boise, Idaho has been my go-to on this vehicle

LTS Motors - Boise Lexus & Toyota Specialists Car Repair

(See attachment for pretty in depth maintenance history, I don't track everything, everything, but the big stuff is there)
  • 5.29 Nitro Gears (LTS, 2018)
  • Front Axle Rebuild (LTS, 2018)
  • PHH (LTS, 2018)
  • Blue Fan Clutch (modded) Summer 2018 - Self
  • New front rotors and 100 series pads (LTS)
  • Head Gasket as preventive maint. (before failure) @ 141K Miles (LTS, 2010)
  • Radiator (self) - top cracked when getting head gasket installed
  • ARB Level Stance Lift Kit (LTS installed)
  • 30MM spacers when 37’s got installed
  • New front Rotors and 100 Series Brake Pads (LTS)
  • Front-end work, 2017 (LTS)
  • Starter (LTS)
  • EGR System, 2018 (LTS)
  • All drivetrain fluids changed/baselined, June 2018 (Oil, ATF, Diffs, Transfer case)
  • I did the ATF myself. LTS did diff & transfer fluids while they had it for the EGR
  • LED Interior lights

Service records:

I have most of the records from my time of ownership. Prior to my ownership, a lot of maintenance history was entered by the Lexus dealer, on their site. Some records also found on CarFax to build a pretty good history of the vehicle's maintenance history.

CarFax: to be posted (also, see link to DropBox)

Beefy wheels, what are they?

GLWS

WHEELS:
“Black Rhino” brand
Model is “Armory”

*11/19/2018 Update:

A couple Q&A's about issues/parts:

Front drivers window is slow in winter
(No issues in summer)
I have:
1x Drivers window run
1x Belt Molding
1x Complete window regulator with motor
(Thought was, if I tear the door apart, just do it all)

Rear Door Locks
2X rear door locks (Both still work, but are starting to fail)

Also have, but need installed:
Slee 2" Rear Bump Stops (I don't ever go off road, so I've been slow getting these installed)
Slee 9005/9006 Head Light Upgrade Harness
Slee Auxiliary Light Harness

Drop box link above has a couple but I can get a few more this evening, if you tell me what specific area's you're looking for.

Of note, we don't salt our roads in Boise. And, it barely rains or snows here. It's high mountain desert in south western Idaho.

Weather is beautiful here. Fly in and drive it across the country

We're having a beautiful, warm fall in Boise. You can fly into Boise and drive this anywhere. It's ready for a cross country road trip.

I could probably deliver to Portland, Seattle, Salt Lake City, etc.

this will make someone really happy...glad it is going to a good home!
Yes, going to a mud member. I didn't list anywhere else.

Yeah great looking rig, nice setup.
Thank you.

She's at the shop right now, getting her pre purchase inspection done. Likely heading to the East Coast (North Carolina) as early as next week.

I hate sending clean cruisers out east to rust.
