What oil pan are you using on that motor?

well the tuning is 90% done, we are still fighting some pinging still but not positive its not related to the exhaust leak I need to fix

the good I took it for a 120 km/h trip on the highway and went mostly well, my ECT sensor for the racepak is hit or miss on its readings so Ill need to dig into the wiring, however I may steal the measurement from the PCM. I still have fan tuning to do, however on the good news the vehicles NEVER while running really goes above 93C so Im more than likely ahead of all the air in the cooling system. I need to order a new tranny pan gasket, my current one is starting to weep more than i'd like and it wasd a rock auto gasket so Ill order an OEM one. I think Im ahead of my oil leak I had developped

The immediate to do list

-take valve covers off and inspect rockers for tightness ive got 350 km on the swap now and I want to inspect
-fix transmission leak
-wrap tranny lines near exhaust with heat shielding
-have rear drive shaft rebuilt
-power steering fluid flush
-oil change to 15-50 dominator oil (sitting on a case already)
-wrap up some wiring
-reinstall center console area
-reinstall rear interior pieces
-install HAM radio
-install CB radio ugh
-tcase service

not so far distant future (after my first wheeling trip)

-replace rear trailing arms (sitting on them)
-4" caster correction plate install and ditch drop brackets
-HD steering kit install
-full alignment
-10% underdrive gear install
-2wd conversion to lesson the shock load on the front diff
-front axle rebuild and stiffening (had a leak on the front diff but seems to have sealed itself for now)
-chromoly rear axle install

its been a busy few months for me, the rig has been almost flawless in certain aspects but in others its been nightmarish

lessons learned, never trust someone else to setup you gears..... a local "Expert" company had setup my 5.29s about 3-4years ago which when I added the powerit did not last long

so with that said i reworked the diffs myself, had to build a couple custom tools but things went smoothly ish

after i fixed my screw up, i regeared the rear to a 4.11 as well...... and well when in rome change all of the seals, you can see what happens to a knuckle ball when a birf explodes and you drive home, and people wonder why i carry a spare birf lol

well the regear was working well put a 1000 km on the truck but the tuning now needed alot more love so i took it for a good highway drive on the new "used" gears thanks @bwakeling and i ran into some minor issues being the 5.29s masked my very very very undersized torque converter. While the highway manors were great the truck just did not leave well at all, id say it left worse than the thing did on a inline 6......... so a quick call to texas speed and performance and 1300 us dollars later the new billet converter stalled at 2800-3000 showed up

so i got to pull the trans and leave the motor in! not what i wanted to do 1 weekend before a larger wheeling event but when in doubt change it out

got caught out in the wild by a somewhat famous youtuber

been doing my own thing away from forums lately but ill post the odd update here, its been working pretty good

part 2 of my adventure out wheeling my cruiser is live, totally forgot to engage my CDL for this whole part of the video hahahaha

finally got around to fixing my trailing arms and installed my lower trailing arms

Today's video is a doozy! We went to Ruby Falls for its scenic beauty and technical wheeling! I hope you enjoy

well to combat my lack of fuel and getting ready for an atlas, I have purchased a 32 gallon jaz fuel cell! Ill be installing it where the factory spare went, cutting a GIANT hole in the floor and building a smaller firewall around it, along with keeping the factory fuel door location!

all this power has not been kind to my front pinion..... 2nd pinion feels loose already and its a 4.11 ..... time for a major change on the front axle

took my lx450 out to manitoba to play in the snow a bit and watch some rednecks!!!
