Hey guys i own a 1997 80 series (American) and just within the past 2 days the engine started stalling when the car comes to a stop. The stalling has gotten worse as of this morning the truck could not maintain idle. When i tried to reverse the truck out of my driveway it would just stall out and the check engine light would come on. I had it towed to my local mechanic and they are currently looking into what is going on. i did check all of my hoses and i didn't see any cracks or anything disconnected. Could this issue be as simple as needing a basic tune up?

Check the large air intake tube that runs from the air filter box to the throttle body (engine). It often develops cracks in the pleated section when someone
lifts the air filter box lid to check/replace the air filter. Also check the PCV and breather hoses on top of the valve cover for cracks.
