It has been very well maintained over the years including Mobil 1 Synthetic Oil, Toyota Red Coolant, and primarily Toyota OEM parts. Notable exceptions would be the exhaust system (Magnaflow Direct Fit CCs with Borla Cat-Back), the Bilstein Off-Road shocks, Lifetime PHH replacement, and BFG AT KO2s. Runs and drives perfectly. $26,000. More Pictures and Info available.

I always play a game of guess what the price should be from the title. I said to myself “Self, this is a $12-13k vehicle”.

It looks well cared for, and maybe on eBay or somewhere else it would get close to 18-20, but not on Mud.

GLWS.

IF it’s spotless underneath this is a high teens truck. But being in VA myself I have never seen anything this old that didn’t have rust. At $15k I would be interested as long as it’s not crusty underneath.

Fix everything, if no rust, paint it, list it on ebay for $25K and you'll likely sell it. The pictures don't deserve that price currently.

good luck selling any 80 over $18k nowadays when 200 prices are droppin good like an anchor. I saw a recent 200l let go for $22k!!!

I have no idea who in their right mind would not scrape up an extra few K and jump to a 10-15yr newer platform with 200 more hp/tq and 10.5”rear for true expo use.

Clean 80s had their uptick in used market prices a few years ago when the 2008s were still over $45k. but that ship has sailed.

80's are going up in value now more than ever. Especially the unmolested, 3x locked ones with lower mileage. The 100's are cheap, and the 200's get lost in the 'me-too' noise for looks. I recently spent over $16k on two 80's in great shape with low miles late last year. To each their own, but with seeing how everyone jumps on 3x locked, low mileage, unmolested trucks, these are commanding more money these days.

I was in Slee the other day, and they too confirmed they are seeing a jump in the 80's value, especially the locked versions.

I AGREE!

Some Land Cruiser on CL sell with in hours ... dont even have time to see it in person and its sold.

I applaud the original poster’s poise in not getting into a scrappy dog fight with all of us, my guess is he would also agree that the asking price of 26 grand is really stupid.

asking prices may be going up.... but actual selling prices isnt.....and in fact I’ve seen them going down. I recently have seen 4 sub $9k down to $7k - 80s all with 130k-160k. In the past 2years they “had” climbed over $10-15k and we’re actually selling at those prices but now I’m seeing them everywhere. the more I search.....the more I find them sitting for months. maybe you are just having no luck or are paying waaaay too much or simply not searching hard enough.

One reason you may not be seeing this is that Colorado is a notoriously higher priced area since many are actually used in the mountains and don’t see a lot of resale. start checking the bedroom grocery grabber, hottubber communities surrounding L.A. , SF. Portland, Phx and what you see is a very different market where housewives 3rd vehicles and weekend Trip low milers are rather common at rather descent prices. Where High miler for the hot tub set is 160k.

For those who want to rag on the vehicle or tell me what the market is, please save it. If my initial asking price in a dynamic market with few data points was WAY HIGH, fair enough. The silence will speak volumes. If you have no interest in such a POS, please spare me your comments. If you have any serious interest, come inspect it, drive it, and make a reasonable offer.

We're all suckers for cruisers...
But I'm guessing you won't find a sucker willing to pony up anywhere close to 26k for that 80 series on this forum....just sayin'
It looks nice though, I wouldn't knock anything about it except, you know, the price.

I'm not trying to sucker anybody. I thought people on this site would appreciate a low mileage, original triple locked a Land Cruiser that is unmolested and runs perfectly and was unsure of the market. If it is priced 200% too high, anyone with serious interest wouldn't treat the post with such childish disrespect. I can't understand those who make a point of commenting over and over again when they obviously have no interest whatsoever.

Only when I see someone taking advantage of good folks.
Nothing of the sort, I have actually owned the vehicle for 14 years and had no idea I would ever think of selling it up until a couple weeks ago. You come to a quick conclusion as to vehicle condition and seller motives based on a handful of quick pictures, Captain Morality. You must one of the internet experts who feels the need to share their expertise quite freely. I will tell you that if someone actually looks at my Land Cruiser and makes an offer that doesn’t work for me; I will shake their hand and thank them for the offer. I would not feel the need to go out of my way to flame them out for a “lowball offer” on the internet.
