This is my 4th 80 series and I undoubltly will regret selling it. However with a growing family, and less time spent overlanding the past few years it's come time to dedicate the time/space other areas. I purchased this LX450 from a local owner in summer of 2017. They used it as a daily driver for his wife. We get some strong hail storms in the summer, and it got caught in one of the storms. This hail was large in size, short in duration and you can see the affected areas in the photos (primarily hood/roof). I purchased it and replaced the front and rear glass as dents on the roof aren't easily visible. Besides the hail dents it was in good shape. I had a TRD Supercharger I had removed from another 80 and decided to go through the LX and baseline it for the TRD Supercharger installation. I spent the better part of the next winter doing the maintenance you see listed above.
Once the maintenance was complete I proceeded with the suspension and armor. The springs (OME) and front/rear bumper and sliders were pulled from my previous 80 and installed on the LX. All other parts listed were purchased new and have less than 1,000 Miles on them including the Goodyear Wrangler Duratracs (spare is brand new, 0 miles). The supercharger and 315's are a perfect match for an 80 in my opinion, and cruising at 80 mph is no problem even at higher altitudes (6-10k elevation). Overall this 80 setup for daily driving it and hit the trails/overland whenever possible.
As with any 80 series there are items that I would want to know about if I was a potential buyer. Currently there are few items that I have not had time to complete. First is the installation of the Magnaflow downpipe/cat. When I purchased the LX the CEL was on with a PO125 & PO141 code; heater circuit on the 02 sensor. I also intended to eliminate the 2nd cat and reroute the exhaust over the frame when this work occurs. The exhaust hanger behind the 2nd cat is also need of replacement. The second item is the lockers. When I purchased it I tested the lockers and both front/rear engaged/disengaged fine. With that said the last two times I've attempted to engage them they have not functioned (Center diff lock engages fine with low range). I assume this is due to lack of use. I have verified that they are receiving 12V power at the actuator. The only other item on my list would be to reseal the oil pan gasket at some point, there's a small oil leak which results small drip after driving.
If you've made it this far you should have a good idea of what this 80 is/isn't. I'd be glad to discuss any other specifics with interested buyers. Please keep in mind that while I'm interested in selling it, I'm not in a rush or looking to give it away.
Free and clear Wyoming Title in hand. Located in Cheyenne, WY. Two hours North of Denver, CO. Shuttle Service is available from Denver International Airport to Cheyenne if buyer is interested in fly in/drive out. Otherwise I can coordinate if buyer wants to pay for shipping.
