Yea, I know. Just wanted to make sure that anyone dealing with a similar issue and searching in the future understands how thermostats work.
I've been to plenty of shops where the "master mechanic" tried to feed me BS lines similar to "there's not enough pressure to open the thermostat" that I want to make 100% clear to people how this works. And if you ever encounter a mechanic trying to pass this over on you then they are either A) Dishonest and/or B) severely unqualified.
