1995 Toyota Land Cruiser FZJ80

I have owned this vehicle since January of 2015. When I took ownership it was bone stock. I don’t know much of its history before I had it. Its completely 100% rust free except for a thumbnail size of bubbling dead center top of the windshield. I live in Bend, Oregon (desert) and this spot has not grown or gotten any worse. I have never found a single stuck bolt in all the modification I have done to this rig. The other thing I don’t know is if the Head Gasket has ever been done. I have sent away oil samples to Blackstone Labratory and also tested the block and everything has come back negative.
This rig was built to be used. This isn’t an “overland” build that was made to take the kids to the supermarket (although it does that also). It has been used for what it was built for and because of that there area couple blemishes. However, it has been very well taken care of, upgraded, and preventative maintenance is always done ahead of
something breaking! I have kept a lot of receipts but not all of them and I have always kept a list of upgrades and major maintenance when it was done.
I wouldn’t hesitate to drive this across country tomorrow or even further. Its been a fantastic vehicle and its time for someone else to
enjoy it. I will try and list the things I can think of that aren’t working or need attention. But overall its a clean well built rig.
- CEL is on because of the P0401 code. I chased this back in 2015 for
a while with a new pcv valve, throttle body gasket, cleaned the
throttle body, new ear vacuum modulator, new pcv #1 and #2 hoses, and
new charcoal canister. It went away for a while and then came back. We
don’t have emissions here in Bend so I didn’t pursue it further.
- It doesn’t have the wiper fluid bottle installed. When I installed
the dual batteries I had to move the fluid canister and I haven’t
reinstalled another one.
- Driver seat is torn like most 80s
- Power antenna doesn’t work any longer. I bought another one and tore
the thing out just to find out it was the antenna for a 97 not a 95
(teeth vs smooth).
- There are a few dents. I have tried to get pics of them. one in the
rocker, one in the driver side door/front clip, and one by the
passenger side tail light.
- A little spot of bed liner has chipped off on the driver side rear
fender well.
-Driver side front shock has a dent in the dust shield. It has not and does not affect the shock.
