1995 80 series Door ajar signal (1 Viewer)

So I just bought my first 1995 LC and I have the door ajar light on on the dashboard. It just came on after I ran it thru the local carwash. When I push both passenger door buttons and close the tailgate door the rear lights go off as appropriate. When I push both front door light buttons the front door lights stay on. What am I missing? I've been searching online but can't find an answer. Can someone please help as I don't want a dead battery in the am. How can I get door lights off and dashboard lights off? TIA

Do you have the headlights on the auto mode?
Also turn the overhead lamp to off.

You probably have a bad door switch

My front passenger door was causing a similar problem. The door striker was loose. (just a tiny bit) no problem since I tightened it.

I turned the overhead light off and BAM! Fixed!! Thank you!!! Whoda thunk that was it? Thank you so much!!!
