1994 vs 95-97 EGR Temp Sensor (1 Viewer)

Does anyone know if the 93-94 EGR temp sensor will work on 96-97 engines? Mine is bad, bought one off a 94 from a guy who had one, and just realized that the 95-97 has a different part number. I realize they are different parts, but can they be used interchangeably in the real world?

From what I can tell the pigtails are different, but I might be able to splice the wires together and just use the old one.
