I bought this 80 Series not to long ago with the intention of using it as the donor for a cross build with the HDJ81 I had due to issues with DMV in CA on the HDJ 81 . Anyway that project got shelved as I decided to concertrate on teh BJ46 and get it ready for Rubicon and the HDJ81 got sold so I have a 1994 Base Model 80 series up for sale.

Hi, I'm new here and am starting to become interested in these awesome machines.

Does "full floater diff" mean there are no lockers?

Hi, I'm new here and am starting to become interested in these awesome machines.

No. There are two types of Land Cruiser Rear Diff's Full Floater and Semi Floater.

The Factory Lockers came in the Full Floater Only .

1994 was a Change over year and this cruiser got the later rear end and brakes so it has the Full Floating Diff and ABS , 4 wheel disc brakes etc .

All that being said this does not have factory Lockers although being a Full Floater rear it could have had but it didn'y :)

There is a good list on Slee's about the various model changes

Cool, thanks for this informative explanation. I just read over the Slee newbie guide which is also very detailed. Cheers!

Just picked up the Valve Cover Gasket (OEM ) so that will go with it if I don't get around to fitting it. Pretty cool to be able to buy this stuff at Toyota still
