Ordered up the exhaust manifold nuts I need and some intake bolts. Need to get my injectors done before I can proceed much more.

I got something planned for the valve cover too. 😉

It’s not like I don’t have knuckle job and brakes to work on in the meantime. 🙄

Cheers

So I am thinking about wheels + tires. Lift will be mild because I like it low and don’t really want to do 37’s at this time.

I am thinking about going FJCruiser 17” steelies. The tires I want only come in a 17” wheel. It is a Nitto in a 35x11.5R17. So thoughts on 17” steelies? I like alloy wheels but not many out there I like that is a non-bead lock besides the SCS. If going beadlock, it’s Walker Evans all the way for me but those are $$$$$$.

Cheers

Guessing you don't like these? The couple i've seen on 80's look pretty IMHO.

There are couple pics in here.

A little Friday night love for my engine.

Got the exhaust manifold nuts in so installed and torqued down.

All the sensors below intake manifold installed and got new manifold bolts so torqued it down. Glad I was able to get the knock sensors for $100/each vs $200. Still expensive to replace all these with new.

Refreshing 😄

Sent my injectors off to the Injector Doctor earlier this week. Should have them back next week.

The Doctor called me today, Dr. Injector that is. Turns out I got one bad injector. He got me a new Denso for $65, that’s way cheaper than the $140 Toyota wants.

Cheers

The offset is wrong and the center bore has to be cut out to get them over the Cruiser hubs. Two significant mods in order to fit an improper wheel. :meh:

Yup, they out. 😉

Cant decide on steelies or the SCS. I got time to decide though. Either way it is 17’s and a Nitto 35x11.5.

Cheers

Correct geometry would be 17x8 with 4.5 inches of backspace or zero offset. In this case both descriptions end up being the same thing.
