Hi every body I'm new here, if any body can help me out, my cruiser has not power going up hill, if any body will have a idea what to check, I did a tun up, valve adjustment, but nothing happen

Welcome to your 3FE. Your best bet is to put it in second or first (depending on your speed), put on some tunes, and enjoy the climb.

The 3FE is designed to take you to the zombie apocalypse and beyond. It won't do it very fast, but you can guarantee that it will hold up under some intense stuff :)

Seconded, at first I thought it was my truck but after doing everything I could to pinpoint the issue I found out it's just one of the beauties of the engine.

That thing will get you from A-Z with 34 more stops along the way but don't expect it to get you there quickly.

Downshift and enjoy the ride.

Slow is normal! Don't fret and welcome!:flipoff2:

Make sure there are no leaky vacumn lines, and they are all hooked up correctly. Did you replace the valve cover when you did the valve job? A leaky valve cover gasket will sap power. Did you time it when doing the tune up? What about the diffs, new fluid makes a difference if you have 18 year old grease mixed diff fluid up front. Also, you could adjust the throttle cable, not the throttle kick down cable, but the trottle cable. Take the slack out of the line, and it feels like a whole new ride.

All these things help a little in the war for powwa, especially with an 18 year old, 6000 lbs pig. But it is a 3FE, so don't expect a miracle. Unless you consider an 18 year old, 304,000 mile LC with an original radiator, alternator, water pump, tranny, diff gears, etc..... a miracle

Does the kick down cable is adjusted properly? If so, like they said, the 3FE will take you to the end of the world, but make sure you have plenty spare time...:lol::lol:

Also, replace all of the vac lines with new rubber and clean out all of the hard lines with compressed air. Change the fuel filter if you havent already and change out the fuel sock. After months of chasing a rough idle, this was the final piece of the puzzle.

Oh and welcome!:flipoff2:

I mentally did the Grillo voice- I hope you don't mind:D (Intern on the Stern show 10+ years ago)

what they said too...

3rd gear

Just did a trip over the passes from Bend to Salem, Oregon. Does good in Drive, but when the hills get steep, down to 3rd it goes.

13 years has got to be a record on Mud for a simple thank you!!!! That is golden and made me laugh. I'm not giving you a hard time.

How's the truck? Still have it?
Yes I still have it I'm doing a refresh, on the paint, and I was thinking in doing a swap but don't know if rebuild or change motor and transmission

V8 that b****
