hi i just come acros nice looking nissan terrano 2.7 diesel does this engines are as weak as toyotas 2lts? any common problems?thanx for any info

I think the early 90s diesel in this model (or is it the petrol) is to be given wide berth.
The main complaint is an extrordinary lack of power

i have not driven one or owned one...yet. i have heard nothing but good things about the diesel though...
once again this is just hearsay...

The engine is good (but not big on power), the only issue is the gearbox. At around 100,000km they get rebuilt.

i have stacks of them here, what i like is the Oz boys don't BS, if something doesn't work they tell you. this is a huge relief from the NA mags which promote anything new as the lastest greatest...

The 2.7 non turbo has a reputation as under powered, and sluggish.
I have a 2.7 turbo ,and it has respectable over taking ability. It has 283k on the clock 160 are mine, and it is still running well.
