1992 LJ71 Corner Lights - Dual Filament? 1157?

Hey Folks, I just picked up a JDM 1992 LJ71 and I noticed the front corner lights are/have dual filament bulbs (1157). I can't figure out when the bulb switches between "High" and "Low". I played around with all the light switches and the light never switches from one intensity to the other.

Anyone have any idea?

I think they change to high when the turn signal is on.
