Buddy’s 73 needs a new one and it’s a discontinued part so not on any of the part websites or eBay. Anyone have an idea of one that could be substituted that would use possible work with some of the mounting holes

You can try the reservoir from a post-1992 truck, i. e., an FZJ73/74.

Part number is 16470-66010 for an FZJ7x truck.

Hope this helps.

This is an item I have been searching for as well. It is NLA but you can keep adding the item in the Heritage Parts Request. I'm not sure if they are still monitoring this, but the page is still there and I have done this again today...

The older FJ73 have the radiator overflow on the opposite side as the newer ones, but the newer 70 tanks are an option if you can mount the fixing bracket to the radiator.
