Little late coming but like has been mentioned, it's a pretty straightforward job and after the manifolds are off the procedure is identical to the 2f, which is very well documented. They are similar enough that if your block is bad you can replace it with a 2f block and there are many reasons to do so (search 2fe).

You may have noticed the thermostat housing bolts were a bit corroded. Be sure to reassemble these with anti sieze.

Final update: I got it all back together. I stupidly missed a crush washer on a fuel line, and I forgot to reconnect a coolant line on the air-intake chamber. The coolant tempe sending unit connector needed to be replaced along with the air cleaner elbow on the intake system. Fires right up and drives beautifully.
