I picked up a beautiful FJ70 off Ebay a while back. It needs some help. I know I have the 3F engine but that's all I really know. It needs a clutch and a lot of wiring. How do I identify the transmission. It's a five speed manual, but that's all I know? There's going to be a ton of questions to follow.

Like war eagle said the vin plate on the firewall will tell us, but it should be H55F and probably HF1A

It looks like you have a Venezuelan FJ70 so some parts are specific for your cruiser and not made by Toyota but local suppliers in Venzuela , transmission and clutch are Toyota but no idea if the wiring harnesses in these are OEM or locally sourced ?

Hello,

Quite likely the transmission is an H55F. Does it slip gears?

With those tires, clutch, transmission, axle bearings and axle seals are probably in need of overhaul or repair.

As mentioned above, the VIN plate is a good starting point.

Built in July 1992. It should be an H55 transmission. The rear axle is most likely a locally-sourced Dana.
