Hi, What a time to break down, pouring down rain ,in the mountains,Dark, no tools etc. logging trucks running by at high speed. Can someone share the E1 and TE1 locations in the Box on the firewall on passengers side. Can’t remember without the diagram.Thanks, Mike

Thanks, Water hose broke,can’t find which one,rad. Empty, Truck will now not start check engine light on. Door open light on...no door open. I’m literally all wet. Thanks guys. Mike

Then you have no stored or current codes.
Check for spark.
Check for fuel.

Lower water pump hose blown,oh what fun. Seems unlikely but blew hose,batttery gives up and fuel pump goes out at same time. This keeps getting better. Mike

Hose 2 years, fuel pump original .....407,000 miles....can’t be upset. Mike

By chance to the break down going uphill? When was last time how the fuel pump was replaced? When you turn the ignition 2 accessory mode do you hear the fuel pump Prime fuel line? Find someone to put the air up to the fuel tank and see if the fuel pump Primes. Two things that will fail in a vehicle it is very common are going uphill or accelerating really hard. The ignition module or coil and the fuel pump.

On these trucks the fuel pump does not run until it's cranking. It will not run the pump in accessory mode on the key.

Thanks, It’s been a great truck. Yes we were going up a steep hill in the rain. Working 12 hour days and will work on it this week end. This time with tools and manual. Mike

Hi, So went back up to work on the cruiser. Replaced the two year old water hose under the water pump. Replaced fuel pump, it actually still worked, amazing. Checked with amp meter coils, ok there. Cranks still no start ,cel on. Efi good. Got in other cruiser drove to the lake and jumped in. Much better than working on the cruiser. Will try again next weekend. Mike
