I am the new member of this thread. I bought a 1990 JDM prado ex5 last year. Enjoyed for a couple of months. Since I live in North western BC. There are a lot of playgrounds. Unfortunately my son took my truck hunting in Queen Charlotte Island and fill up with bad fuel. The engine started to knock and was later identified as fuel knock. Managed to get on the ferry to Prince Rupert. Took it to a diesel shop and the nightmare began. In short I end up with a screw up engine and a $1800 bill. With help from my friends I spent the last 6 month rebuilding this engine. Now I came to put it back in the truck. In this final stage I found there is no power to the glowplug and the fuel pump solenoid. I can't find the fuses location. I search the net for source, electrical schematic ......and found this site. After reading Ali's thread I feel a friendly community here and decide to become a member. I am sure I come to the right place for help and learn. Once I have my truck running I hope to take some picture of the landscape and share.

welcome to the forum.

The glowplugs get there power thru a fusible link on the battery area connection.

I'm not sure about the fuel pump. But look carefully at the engine fuse and others around them. It may not have it's own fuse.

You may want to install a good water seperator for a fuel filter. Like a racor.
