Hi everyone,

I’m selling my current daily driver a 1989 FJ62. Have most records since new; to include the original window sticker price.
Is only a two owner California rig, absolutely no rust. I have owned for approximately 9 months in which I have done an extensive amount of things to it. It resides in the Temecula Wine Country now and plays the part well.

The good:
High mileage but this vehicle was towed behind an RV for many thousands of miles.

Lots of recent maintenance done recently and throughout it’s lifetime. It runs, drives and stops great. Rebuilt transmission, all new fluids on the differentials and T-Case, new brakes, new hoses, full tune up, A/C was serviced, the fuel tank was dropped and cleaned up. It has new KYB shocks, 5 new 16” Raceline wheels wrapped on brand new 265/70r16 Goodyear Wrangler Duratrac A/Ts tires. It drives 75 mph on the freeways with ease, drives straight as an arrow. The 62 was professionally repainted with a two stage paint, the color is custom.

It has a brand new Sony stereo with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

The decals were applied after the paint had cured and was color sanded and polished. The 62 also received new door belts.

The interior was redone back in 2005 and it’s in pretty good shape. The color is brown and the fabric goes well with this 80s classic.

What’s needed: front passenger side window is not currently working (has a new master window switch control), and some speakers are blown. Still needs some little bits and ends.

The not so great:

It holds a salvage title due to having been vandalized. The interior was cut-up and the wheels were stolen. That’s it, no accidents, there was no major damage at all. It has some leaks (I’m currently looking at this)

Contact me with any questions. I’m including pictures of before the restoration, some of the process and the after pictures. No rust anywhere, as with most vintage Toyotas it marks his territory with a little oil.

It is a great vehicle and I’m positive that it will make you proud to drive it.

Price was reduced from $21k to $19,777

Thank you and have a blessed day.

Carlos

More pics of the interior, still need to take some of the back seat. Have two kids so the child car seats need to come off… a new dash cover overlay was added before and looks good, some spots closer to the windshield are coming unglued. The interior tool/storage boxes can be included.

These are pictures of the vehicle prior to the restoration. As you can see it was not crashed or had any type of damage. The clear was gone on most of it so I decided to paint it. I went with a different color of the exterior that better suited the brown interior; while maintaining the vintage look. Also, the fog lights are not connected at this time.

Original window sticker, and some of the many maintenance records. Most are from Toyota Dealerships or SOR

Raceline 16” wheels and the Goodyear Wrangler Duratracs A/T with Kevlar side (DOT date 09/21). Five total plus additional stock spare

Engine bay is dusty but trusty 😃
Undercarriage has no rust
Pic of the new KYB shock. Rides very smooth and has that wonderful stock feeling while driving it. The 265/70r16 Wranglers are great on the road and very capable off the beaten path; all while giving it that vintage look.

Forgot to add that the front has a hitch receiver behind the stock bumper as this FJ62 was towed behind an RV for a while. Another angle of the rear row hitch and one of with the 4WD engaged in low

The gauge/radio cluster has two cracks but I have a used replacement part for it. Haven’t gotten around replacing it yet.
