Can anyone provide pictures or a diagram for how this actually goes together? The Hanes manual is not much help. Having trouble determining which holes are for gas tank and which are fr skid. Bought it with all this removed. Google is no help either. Thanks!

As I recall, none of the bolts are shared between the tank and skid. It should only go on one way.

Yup. Tank bolts in higher on the frame than the gas tank. Gas tanks bolts on lower sets of holes.

On the horse shoe cross member theres a upper set and lower set of holes. Tank in upper set. Skid on lower set.
Rear tank mount is on the round tube cross member.
Theres an additional C shaped bracket that goes with the rear mount so at the round tube it goes tank>bracket>skid plate
Bracket held on by the tank hardware. Tank ends up sandwiched between the bracket and round tube mount.

Found this in my picture stash. From the rear. Skid mounting. This is the 17 gallon skid. The 14 gallon tank is different, slightly.
