$17,500 – Original Equipment and Condition – White with Gray Interior – Records Since New

A California FJ62 since new. Built in August 1987 and delivered to Rogers Toyota in Los Angeles where it was placed in use November 1987. The Cruiser lived in the Los Angeles area (Orange County) until 1991 and then moved up to the California Central Coast where it remained until 2017.

Just turned 241,000 miles and the documented history shows the Cruiser was regularly driven, serviced and maintained since 1988:

· Factory window sticker and owner’s manual

· Service and repair records since new – 1988

· Original jack, tools and spare tire

· Engine replaced in 1996 @114,000 miles

Runs and drives well with recent service and California smog test.

All the automatic and ease of use factory options that makes the FJ62 Cruisers so enjoyable to drive - automatic transmission, power steering, power brakes, A/C, power windows and door locks, premium radio with cassette and 4 speakers and chrome wheels. See the window sticker for all the original equipment details.

This FJ62 is in original, unmodified condition with factory equipment intact. No lifting, cutting, modifying inside or out. The white paint appears to be original throughout with minor touch up and a few scratch/dings typical on a 30 year old. A few small surface rust areas were repaired properly near the front fender flap attachment lip, side rear window and rear drip rail. Chrome bumpers, trim and emblems look good.

The original two-tone gray cloth interior is in good condition with a small repair area on the door side of the driver’s seat bottom. Headliner, door panels, visors and carpet surface areas show normal wear and remain original. Original glass in good condition except for a new windshield in 2017 due to rock chips.

Other than a 30 year old patina and expected wear, the factory undercoating/rust proof material remains and the undercarriage looks original and clean with no evidence of rust, repair or damage. The engine compartment and sheet metal looks original with original paint and is clean with no evidence of rust, repair or damage. Original weld dimples and sheet metal in place and show no evidence of damage or repair. Door jambs are clean with original paint.

The FJ62 is NOT a perfect time capsule that sat in storage or restored as new. The truck has been well driven and maintained in original condition. If you prefer a as “new” look then a simple refreshing of a few interior and exterior cosmetics can be easily done. Same can be done for the few minor dings and flaws in the exterior. That would take the appearance to the next level, but is by no means necessary to enjoy the Cruiser now and for years ahead.
