Hey all! Just thought I’d open this can of worms again. I’ve read quite a bit on the forums and watched a few videos by Otramm and 6th gear garage. I’m putting together my passenger side steering knuckle (first one I’ve ever done) and am 99% sure I have the shims back to where they were (one on top one on bottom). In the pictures below see what you think but I have tightened the bottom bearing cap all the way and the top cap to less than the torques spec values. There is still quite a gap and I am way High on the preload value.

Anyone recommend or have the steering knuckle alignment tool or should I try something else. The only thing I know to try is to go back a make sure that I have my bearing races fully seated and that’s all I know.

Any advice would be good. I’m in the Apex, NC area.
Thanks
Thomas

Thomas, The Club has an alignment tool Members can borrow. Not sure who has it at the moment.

I have the club knuckle centering sst at the moment. Can lend it out, but don't have time in the next month to help you use it.

If you need it and can come pick it up from my house, send me a pm.
