So its time to thin out the herd. Up for sale is a 1987 Toyota HJ60 that I have owned for about 5 years or so and bought from Ventura county.
In that period of time, I've put on about 5k miles on her at most.
Things I have done during this period of time.
1) Georg (OrangeFJ45) at Valley Hybrids replaced/did the following
- knuckle rebuild
- spindle lock kits
- good used passenger steering arm
- driver side brake lines
- caliper hard lines
- three tubes of synthetic wheel bearing grease
- gear oil for front differential
- brake fluid
- low milage trans and t-case combo from a FJ62 (I believe the donor had 70k miles on it)
- transmission pan gasket
- atf
- engine rear main seal
- new aux transmission cooler
- replace transmission lines
- installed ARB front bumper
2) 5 new BFG Tires (spare is brand new)
3) A/C work done when I first got her, but A/C needs to be refilled since she's no longer cold
4) Annual oil change with 5W/40 Rotella T6 and OEM Toyota filters
5) Installed SOR seat covers (seats were untorn underneath and clean before I put them on) and black diamond plating rubber floors
6) Wheelskins steering wheel cover
7) Interstate batteries
8) Installed OEM radiator hoses
The body is rusty and the paint oxidizing/peeling. Georg and I were trying to find a good donor body for the longest time but no luck. I have a stack of receipts from the previous owner that includes a replacement frame from SOR, so frame is solid. To me, the 60 series is the best looking land cruiser body style. I was trying to keep her but the wife is giving me the evil eye to be more practical.
Will try to add to this as I remember, just wingin it for now before I go to bed. As for price, I am not sure what the market value is for these, these days. Shoot me an offer.
Thanks,
John
