Im selling a 1987 Toyota ext cab, 4x4 (IFS) pickup that has had the 22RE swapped out for a 2L, 2.4 diesel. The truck is far from mint and still has some tidying up to do from the diesel swap but its a functioning and driving truck. The engine runs and starts like a dream, clutch, IP re seal, and t-belt done at the time of the swap aprox 30,000km ago.
It has a factory Toyota box that has had a dump cylinder and electric over hydraulic motor installed to raise the bed. The box was rusty, then plated over with Al checker plate.
It DOES have some frame patching, in the usual places from the cab back. The cab and fenders have next to no rust on them though.
Its missing a marker light up front and has a good amount of cosmetic flaws.
The oil pan is leaking a bit.
Dash lights not working and tach not functional (tach was from the gas engine)
4x4 works great
Cold starts great.
Good batteries.
Tires are not the best but Ok.
So….its a bit of a beater and could use some love. But it has not had the sh*t kicked out of it and would make a neat, economical little run about, farm truck, 4x4, and/or project truck for someone.
