My wife and I are once again going to try and sell our HJ60. We posted it on MUD in 2013 but eventually changed our minds. I will simply cut and paste that original post here. It is all still relevant. Here is a link to the photos:
I would think the state of the Canadian dollar compared to the US dollar would make this very tempting to a US resident. "Almost" showroom condition original HJ60 are apparently hard to come by so here it is. Cut and paste:
Sadly I am selling my 1987 HJ 60, 2H diesel, Auto trans. Since retirement I am not using it and we want to become a one vehicle household. I am the second owner. It was purchased new in Vancouver, B.C. by a retired postal worker. I got it in 1997; a fluke opportunity to get an HJ60 in showroom condition with blanket seat covers and never driven in the winter with only 63k/km's. I have maintained it since then in the same condition. Stored in the winter and still only 181k/km's. The hint of a maintenance requirement meant new Toyota parts. All stock except OME complete suspension. Ziebart rust treated when brand new. All interior panels sprayed with Boeshield T9 every two years since 1997. Frame sprayed with Krowne T40 every two years since 1997. Not a hint of rust. Paint protected with NuFinish every year. Since 1997: A/C rebuilt with new Toyota evaporator, condenser, dryer and R134. Compressor rebuilt, all new o-rings & oil. New Toyota radiator. New battery trays. Front end rebuilt with Toyota tie rod ends, ball joints, ball joint rod, front end align. New Toyota starter. Rear brakes Toyota drums, shoes, cylinders. K&N air filter. Synthetic trans. fluid & engine oil (Amsoil). New Toyota belts, hoses. New Toyota mud flaps. Since 2013 post new Optima yellow top batteries.
Immaculate inside and outside. Never off pavement except the odd Saturday to the rifle range for target shooting.
So, if you want to own an HJ60 diesel in "almost" showroom condition this is the one. Extensive photos available on request. Asking $32,500.00
Location Vancouver Island, B.C. Canada.

i think this was just sold on ebay for 28.2k yesterday, by hilltop cruisers. Unless its a different truck.

It did. I was watching the auction. I was only interested to see because I on a 1987 diesel imported form Canada as well. Not as nice as yours, or the hilltop cruisers one, but still in pretty decent shape. I did not pay that much for my truck, but then again, it did and still requires a bit of attention. I am now just replacing my rear brakes.

Dear Sir: I am new to the forum. How do I contact you about potentially purchasing your truck and getting more photos? Many thanks. JBOMD@aol.com

To the newest owner of this beautiful rig, may we ask where it is now and if, now 2 years later, you are considering selling at any point?
Cheers! Nelson Thanks, @bigmighj60
