i have had my FJ60 for around 2 1/2 years and completed the V8 conversion, OME suspension, and lots of other stuff that was fun to do. My job has me in Europe more than here, and my boss is "hinting" that he would prefer I lived in Germany. I am thinking the hints will become a requirement around January, so it's time to post my Landcruiser for sale.
My build thread is up to date, from when I bought it. Has around 143k miles on it, I started working on it around 137k miles. I really only play with it on the weekends.
The highlights:
- OME medium suspension at 137k
- new AA Ranger torque splitter at 137k
- new front calipers, rotors, master cylinder new at 137k
- all new soft brake lines new at 137k
- OME rear shocks, new at 137k
- new front shock, don't recall which brand, at 137k
- new rear brake pads, turned drums at 137k
- new exhaust at 137k
- rebuilt front axle, including new bearings, at 137k
- new Chevy a/c compressor and lines at 140k
- new aluminum radiator 139k
- new coolant and heater hoses 137k
- new serpentine belt 140k
- new console, with radio 137k
- tach works and reads real RPM
- all gauges work EXCEPT temp gauge
- custom rear bumper with tire carrier and high lift jack 142k
- BFG 12.5X33 on black aftermarket rims (5) with tons of tread left
- 305 (or 350 depends on website), V8 from ~ 1985 Camaro with Edlebrock carb
- some rust holes in front fenders. Have new drivers side fender in box
- runs and drives, 4wd works, speedo is close but lie due to tires
- roof racks clamped to gutters
I think I have about $12k dumped into it with parts. I would like $8,500 to drive it away. No trades please. Many pics in my build thread and I can post more upon request.
