1987 FJ60 Landcruiser (1 Viewer)

Hello, I bought an 1987 FJ60 a few weeks ago. I spent $$$$ to get my new ride in top shape.

My problem started when I replaced my rear drum to disk brakes. My mechanic told me that the handbreak is rendered useless after the conversion.

Does anyone on this forum have experience with this issue. I'm hoping I'm not the only who switched to disk brakes.

I called Specter Off Road where I bought my kit and all they could tell me was I can look into a GM system and that I would have to modify things to get it to work. That's not much to go with.

Please let me know if you have a better idea.

I am sure this will get moved, so I think there are two different rear calipers you have options for in the swap. One is set up for having rear disc brakes, I think they are from late 80's GM Calipers.

This site has them for $300 for the pair.
