I am going to post my 60 on bring a trailer in a couple of weeks but going to post it here first
build thread

1987 fj60 mostly original paint
80 series axels
coils up front with bp51s
leafs rear with ome
1hd-ft motor
new g-turbo with intercooler
arb front with winch
kamar rear
harrop rear locker
new h55 with t-case rebuild
speed hut gauges with egt
almost new tires
almost new steel wheels
sheelman front seats
all new weather stripping and window regulators
keyless entry with alarm
waggon gear tail gate and side panels in rear
bowfin roof rack
tom woods drive shafts
alum. rad.


these are just the major things. every time a project was done on the truck all new toyota parts where used when available.



it is a very nice truck, several mud guys have driven it

thanks for the nice compliments, it has been listed with bring a trailer and should go live in a few weeks. Photo shoot is next friday.
 
This is an awesome truck. Almost sets benchmark for a builds! Love the BP51, must make the truck feel awesome.


I will follow your build as a reference for my 89 FJ62.
 
@bdyer12 Beautiful 60. Any details on the color/pattern names on the Scheelman seats?
base model seats, fabric is a toyota match from a store in portland. My buddy Michael with expo vans got it for me and gave it directly to Toby from Scheelman. You can call Toby direct he is a great guy but i don't think he will track down the fabric.

I did not see 65k in his listing, only a remark about, " I wish I had 65k laying around"
 
GLWS. I scrolled through this thread and....wow! There are so many great details on this truck.

Love the Scheel-mann seats with stock fabric. 👍
 
 
anyone happen to know if this would be difficult to register in CA?
Im thinking since its a diesel you "should" be okay. Someone smarter than me will have to confirm.
