cool rig, but just a heads up as Calif. has been cracking down and not allowing rereg of grey market diesels in Cali anymore. So while you have a current reg. most likely the next person wont get a title via Sacto when they go to reg. even if the local dmv reg's it. Just to save you a hasslehoff / as selling it to an out of state buyer may be the easy workaround.

Nice Reg, :hmm:

Is this real? I'm looking at buying a diesel registered in CA.

I’m real.. been on mud since 2004....

Sorry I get what you are asking... Ca. Can do a lot of of funky things and nothing is guaranteed.. I have had this registered for 6+ years and my diesel 80 for 12 years in Ca. This 73 I think began in Germany and has a Toyota 17 digit vin and a German plate as well on the fire wall so not a short vin like the RHD ones..

Keeping it in my collection!

Sure is.hard to replace it in Ca! I would regret this later if sold.... 5-10 years down the line”why did I sell it ..can’t get another one in Ca” I have said that about a few cruisers I wish I still had.. never too many vehicles.

im kicking around the idea of selling my 1985 BJ73 . It has the LS3 Erod package in it . Do you think it will be a issue for California buyers to register ? Thanks

If it has epa sticker and is legal for that year vehicle it prob could. They would make buyer go to referee and get a smog I would think but don’t know for sure
