They look almost the same color in person. I use the same touch-up paint on both. The rig has been on the trail several times, and has several dings here and there, and many touched-up rock chips in the paint. There is a small dent beneath one of the Marlin Crawler stickers, and the trailer has a couple small dents in the body.

Hello,

Yes, it's still for sale and sitting in my garage, kind of like a good horse that never gets ridden.

I'm surprised it hasn't sold, I have a lot more than the asking price invested in it, and it has had very little use since it was built. It runs and drives excellent, and everything works, including the AC.

Regards...

I'v received a couple of PMs recently inquiring about the status of the 4-runner, so figured I would post here.

For the present time, I have decided to keep the 4-Runner. I had a chance to take it out a couple of times just before the virus, and really enjoyed it. I figure that if I sell it, I'll eventually want to replace it, and to get something in the condition of this rig, with the capability, I'll would likely have to find something a lot newer, and would likely end up spending a lot more money than I can currently get for this. I'v come to the realization this truck is probably worth more to me than it is worth to others, since I know the true condition, maintenance history, and quality of the build.

Regards,

Jonathan

I love the 4Runner. But for me the trailer combo was a deal breaker. It runs the price up too high(I assume several thousand). It’s always tough to get the true value out of a build like this. Good work. Hope you enjoy it for the long run

Agree, I'll enjoy it. My oldest just got his driver's license, and hanging out with Mom and Dad isn't cool anymore, so we now all fit again, (minus him, LOL). Another reason to keep it.

I don't have the money in the slightest, just wanted to say it definitely looks worth what you're asking. Really nice build.

So... It's been over a year since I last posted, and while we have taken a few trips in this rig over the year, it continues to collect dust. I drive it to work a couple of times a month to keep everything lubricated. I'v decided to put it up for sale again @ $19,000.00, same as before. We simply are not using it enough to keep it. It is truly a remarkable and capable rig with absolutely no issues. Buy it, drive it home, regardless of the distance. I would not hesitate driving it across the Us. Please contact me if interested.

Hey fellas, just wanted to update this thread as I continue to get calls. This rig sold to member Lucky1386. He flew in to Tucson AZ, and I picked him at the air port and took him to Hereford where the truck was located, about 2 hours South. He bought it and drove it all the way back to San Fransisco pulling the trailer. Based on the pictures he is sharing, It's getting the use it was built for and deserves. Glad it went to a good home, and someone who will use it for what it was built for.

It's great meeting cool folks from other parts of the country who share the passion of these old Toyotas and off-roading.

Until Next time....
