I call phooey on this!

I copied this some time back into a special quotes file I keep. It resonated with me in many ways... I hope there's still a little bit of this left in you. ;)

"This isn't a f***ing hobby. This is the lens through which I see my entire world. Driving and living Land Cruisers is in fact life. It is vitality in the bulls*** world that everyone else wants us to buy into. Land Cruisers are the way the world should be. We are just the lucky ones to realize it."

Things change.

Unfortunately, wife and I test fit the hood and with the intercooler it’s a no go. I would need to prop up the back of the hood at least 1-2”. Or cut a hole in the hood. Not happening.

Going to remove it and go back to IC-less for now. Have to find a very thin (2.5” IC) for this to work.

Real ****ing bummer.

I'm realizing now why there are no pics of this AXT intercooler system installed in any BJ70's anywhere-- not on AXT's site nor on the internet of any kind.... The intercooler just doesn't fit without significant hood modifications. Like cutting and putting a hump in. And I sure as s*** am not doing that. I assume the intercooler could be moved to a location and then plumbed to fit it under the hood but that would really take up a lot of useful real estate under the hood of a 70.

Very upset about this overall.

Also, the AXT system is nothing but a repurposed PWR Intercooler systems kit. With some extra hardware.

It looks totally different with that grille and markers. I like it.

Love the 211 Autoset. Awesome machine.

Another swing and a miss.

Rear bumper will absolutely not work on a SWB 70. :( FML. Everything that can go wrong is indeed going wrong.

The rear bumper part is fine. But once the radius for the rear quarter panels starts it’s all over.

As you can see the top side pieces are too long. Hit the rear quarters and hit the rear of the tire.

Also, the front of the side pieces are supposed to mate with a hole in the frame...

Ugh. No hole/captive nut.

This is what the bumper is supposed to look like based on the CAD drawing...

As you can see here as well, the bottom side plate hits the bottom of the rear quarters and the tire as well...

I would need to significantly modify either the body or the pieces I received to make this bumper even close to working.

The pics on the website show it on some sort of LWB 7x. More than likely the piece of s*** LJ77/78 series trucks which have coil suspensions (thus placing the rear axle differently on the frame than the leaf springs versions)...

Anyway, I have neither the time nor patience to deal with it at this point.

I have sent emails with pictures to the vendor and will be insisting on returning these parts for a refund.

Regarding the bumper...

I woke up today a bit less pissed off about my life and the s*** I’m dealing with outside of my truck life...

I said “**** it. It’s only metal. I can out think it.”

I’m going to drastically manipulate the metal I have and make some bumper happen. At this point in the game, I don’t have time for this company to make it right (if they even do...which I doubt).

It is what it is. I’ll make some lemonade with the lemons I’ve been given.
