1985 FJ60 Weber to Stock Air Cleaner issue (1 Viewer)

I bought the adapter for the weber carb that is supposed to allow you to continue using the stock air cleaner. But the adapter has a couple of problems:

- The contact point for the adapter is the opposite of the profile on the original carb.
- The post from the carb is position dead center of the circle but on the original carb and the original air cleaner it is offset.

Hi!
I had the same problem with my Weber. Mine was also not tall enough to reach the air cleaner. What I did was make an adapter out of marine heat-rated exhaust house (www.defender.com) and cut an adapter. This worked for a little while until I decided to just put a little air cleaner on top. Just make sure that you are sealing the whole thing and not leaving any holes open.
