Hello FJ60 friends. I have a stock 1985 FJ60. I'm trying to figure out where this hose (circled in yellow) terminates? The end of mine was just laying against the exhaust manifold melting, LOL

Any clues would be appreciated.

Thank You

Looks like it's the vac line off the "Lower" port on your HAC valve. According to the emissions schematic below, that should go to port 11 on the metal racetrack thing.

(I drew that circle around the vacuum advance at upper left for something else)

That port on the very bottom is an atmospheric vent. The hose doesn’t connect to anything. But it shouldn’t be laying on you exhaust manifold.

^^

Open to atmosphere so the bellows that's inside the HAC can work its magic.

There's supposed to be a clip around the PS pump that holds the end from flopping around. It's often missing allowing the hose to hit the manifold and melt.

the bottom is actually a cap that covers a dust filter. You might be able to rotate the cap to have the hose port point forward or back instead of towards the engine. This might help keep the hose out of the way. The picture I posted earlier shows the port oriented 180 degrees from the OP's picture.
