My sweet FJ60. I’m thinking of selling it. I'd like an 80 if I can find one.
I am moving to MN next week and I'm having it shipped there. So any sale will be from my new home in MN. I'll be living 25 minutes outside of Minneapolis.

I just got it out of the shop today. The carb was rebuilt. Had gaskets and hoses replaced. Vaccum line and EGR valve assy replaced. All Tuned up. Runs very smooth. 4WD works perfectly. Rust coated underneath. No Rust anywhere that I can see. At the Land Cruiser shop I was told it's the best 60 they've ever had in there.

The Ugly:

The drivers seat is torn from 27 yrs of climbing in and out. If I keep it I'm replacing it.

The carpet in the very back should be replaced. Easy job.

There is a thin crack in the windshield. I've been driving it for months like that. No issue with site lines at all. From 20 feet away it can hardly be noticed.

Price = 9600 bucks

PM me. Or respond here. I have alot going on as of my move and like I said I won't sell it until I get settled in MN. So this gives you time to think about it, run it by the Boss, etc.... It's gonna take me a week to get settled anyway, once I get there.

I have about 20 pics but will post a few here. Looks like I'm allowed 3. If I can I'll post more.

Nice looking rig. I apologize for the rookie question, I'm a 4Runner guy not a LC guy but when did they switch from the round headlights to the rectangular ones? That looks so much better with the round lights.

"What did you use for the rust coat prevention underneath? "

The previous owner did any restoration work. I bought it when I saw it for sale. So I'm not sure what he used. When I shipped the rig here to Minnesota I was underneath it when it was on the trailer just looking at it .....and it is one of the cleanest I've seen.

Just a re-summarization of the recent work done to my 60 by Cruiser Solutions in Hampstead NH.

I wanted it running well incase I decided not to sell it. I hear the winters can be cruel here in MN so I needed it to be reliable and it runs like new now.

OK. Help me out here.

Am I asking too much? (8500)

If so... what is a fair price?

Be reasonable with your opinion.

I may just keep it now as I have some money in the truck and I hate to take a bath.

So... tell me...

I'll be honest, The biggest turn off (for me at least) Is the stripe, mud tires (the combo make it look like a bronco) I like tall and skinny, and the front seat. I am interested enough to deal with those though:hmm:....Good luck, if we can't make a deal. Still a pretty rig. I blame it on my 60 withdraws, lol.

The stripe is kinda fugly.

Nice lookin 60.

In today's market 8500 is high. But it is much easier to lower your price than raise it. Toss it out on CL or ebay with a 6500 reserve and see what happens... IMO, that is a 6500-7K truck.

On another note, I am from Minnesota. Welcome. Check out the MNtoyx4.com web page. we have not been that active as of late but new folks always help. We also have one heckuva good cruiser resource just south of you, check out POSER, (LCR4wd) if you have cruiser questions or need work on your rig he is the man.

Good luck with the sale. Good luck in your new surroundings, Minnesota has much to offer including the 2013 Super Bowl Champion Vikings....

Thanks for the info. I was with you the whole way til you got to the Vikings thing. lol

I'll check that site out you mentioned.

I may end up keeping it. Who knows. But after reading through the posts I now hate the stripe and want some tall skinny tires. haha

The damn seat needs fixing too

Had an offer of 6500 and one for 7000

I passed. I have too much invested. I'd rather drive it for a year and have some fun. I really need the 7600.

Still there though. Last shot. The market is slow for everything I've noticed so I'll be taking it off the market by next week if no interest.
