First off I will try to be as honest and transparent as I can while describing this truck. CLEAN TITLE 237,000 miles
I'll get the main negative out of the way to begin with.
-RUST. mainly in the typical areas, 1/4 panels, inner fenders, lower front fenders, tailgate. Only surface rust on the frame. FRAME IS SOLID. NOT a Canadian truck.
-PAINT. 50 shades of red, meaning there is signs of old paint matched sections on the fenders and 1/4 panel. door jams are all original. Photos make it look better than it is probably. But it's presentable and photogenic for all the Instagram hype and nostalgia your heart desires.
-Hasn't been daily driven since in about a decade but still runs a drives good. A true thorough engine tune up would do wonders to bring it back to full potential. But as is, it runs drives and stops pretty decent.
-Suspension and steering could use a little love as well depending on how picky you are. The older steering boxes always had play in the steering from factory so don't expect a Mazda Miata steering wheel response here.
- Interior is all complete and very decent for how these trucks are treated and used. Only major flaw is typical drivers seat bolster wear and headliner holes. Dash is near perfect. Oil pressure and water temp gauges aren't operable all others work. Has a stereo that produces sound.
-Engine, all original in the engine bay, stock carb, stock everything. Unmolested. Runs good, sounds good. Dirty but good. I'm sure there are some leaks but nothing crazy. All stock skid plates intact. Smells like old gas while running at the moment but I put half a tank of fresh in there to cycle through.
-Drivetrain. Trans shifts nice while plucking through the 4 gears, does 70mph not much more without pushing the 2F above 3k Rpms, 4WD works of course, front birfields look surprisingly dry and good. Drives pretty smooth.
In all it runs, drives and stops like a 1984 5000lb 120hp suv so don't expect much more from it. If you want a good start to a restore or a great weekend overland, Instagram model truck to get you the next 10k followers you've been dreaming of them this is it! These trucks will never go down in value again, and this one is listed very fairly for the work it could use. I work at a Land Cruiser specific Restoration shop with over 25+ cruisers in house so I feel like I know what I'm talking about to a degree... feel free to tell me otherwise.
Thanks for looking! $3400
